Materials

TYVEK* is a nonwoven material made of very fine polyethylene fibers. The very fine continuous polyethylene fibers are interconnected in a network structure which is self-bonded under heat and pressure. The resulting material is neither film woven fabric, nor paper but combines many of the good qualities of all three.

TYVEK* enjoys considerable success in limited use protective garments chiefly because of its IMPORTANT FEATURES:
High Isotropic Strength
Toughness & Durability
Launderability
Lint Free
Anti Static
Resistant to: Acids/ Bases & Salts
Contamination Barrier against: Bacteria & Radiation
Particle Holclout such as: Asbestos Fibers
Non-Absorbent: resists water penetration
Rot & Mildew Resistant 0 Covering Power

Flammability:
Note: The flammability characteristics of TYVEK, a synthetic nonwoven materi all are similar to those of most synthetic fibers. When exposed to a flame, TYVEK shrinks away rapidly. If the flame is made to follow the shrinking sheet, TYVEK will melt at 275°F/135°C. and if its ignition temperature of 650°F/343°C is reached,
TYVEK will burn.

SARANEX

SARANEX laminated Tyvek® means TYVEK provided with a coated Saran layer applied under heat and pressure. This material is suitable for application in increased risk areas, as it is practically impervious, e.g. to protect against carcinogenic PCB, highly toxic chemicals, dangerous gases, acids, etc.

POLY

PE coated Tyvek® is provided with an additional coating of liquid polyethylene on one side and for this reason offers an even higher degree of protection, e.g. against aggressive liquids or spray mist and is particularly suitable for long term work in areas of high contamination. Available in yellow or white.
